Leon Oliver

My name is Leon. I am a creator, engineer, and entrepreneur in Germany. I love what I do; not because it's a career, but because I get to bring ideas into reality. It started with my own small ideas: UAVs, custom computer parts, costume props. Soon I started helping others build theirs, working on everything from NASA satellites to two-seater aircraft, to custom instruments for well-known artists in Europe.

Now, I look for new skills, interdisciplinary projects, and good friends and coworkers.

LISA and other satillites

I have worked on 4 different spacecraft, including the LISA constellation; the 3rd largest NASA/ESA satellite project ever undertaken.

UAV Dev

Fascinated by aerospace in general, I set out to develop a fully autonomous fixed wing drone from scratch. This is an ongoing project with 1 flying prototype and 3 prototypes developed. Through this work I also joined the development team at Sea Watch, contributing to their life saving drone operations.

Eurorack Gyroscopic Synthesizer Module

A larger project was a Eurorack synthesizer for a well known European artist. Together with a small team of engineers, I designed, prototyped and developed a gyroscope dependent Eurorack module with a custom made DtA amplifier PCB.

3D Design and Fabrication

Starting as a hobby and working up to a profession, 3D design is a large part of my work. What you see here is one of many products I have designed and brought into reality. This one is a Bluetooth speaker with custom electronics, optimized for 3D printing. After the acoustics are finalized, it will be covered in mahogany veneer and copper lacing.
